1993– Establishment of Predecessor Company
The predecessor of Shandong Yuangen Petrochemical, SHANTUI Petrochemical, was established under SHANTUI Group. Its lubricants and industrial oils were officially certified and supplied in volume, laying the foundation for high-quality industrial lubricant production and manufacturing operations.
2004 - Designated Lubricants Supplier for XCMG
YUANGEN entered into a strategic cooperation with XCMG, becoming its designated supplier of high-performance industrial lubricants, engine oils, and hydraulic oils for construction machinery and heavy equipment.
2007 – Partnerships with Leading OEMs
YUANGEN partnered with SINOTRUK, FAW, and WEICHAI to supply high-performance industrial lubricants and engine oils for their automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial manufacturing operations.
2008 – Collaboration with SAIC-GM
YUANGEN began a strategic collaboration with SAIC-GM to supply aftermarket automotive lubricants and engine oils for vehicle maintenance and repair services.
2010 – Long-Term Supply Agreements
YUANGEN signed long-term supply agreements with leading base oil suppliers, including Shell and SK Lubricants. Our engine oils and industrial lubricants were officially certified by Volkswagen and Cummins, ensuring reliable performance for automotive vehicles and industrial machinery worldwide.
2011 – Strategic Additive Partnerships
YUANGEN formed strategic partnerships with global lubricant additive companies such as Lubrizol and Chevron to jointly develop high-performance industrial lubricants and engine oils for automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial applications worldwide.
2013– Completion of China’s Largest Lubricant Manufacturing Base
YUANGEN completed its state-of-the-art facility, equipped with fully automated blending and filling systems. With an annual capacity of 350,000 tons, it became the largest lubricants plant in China, providing high-standard customized production (OEM/ODM) for multiple global lubricant brands.
2015 – Global Certification Achieved
YUANGEN's lubricants and engine oils received official certification from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, and ZF, demonstrating compliance with global automotive standards and ensuring high-quality performance for vehicles and industrial machinery.
2016 – International Expansion & Strategic Partnerships
Following the liberalization of China’s lubricant exports, YUANGEN launched its aggressive internationalization strategy, successfully entering Central Asian and Southeast Asian markets. In the same year, the company formed a strategic partnership with 3M to jointly develop advanced automotive care products and strengthen its global supply chain.
2024– Global Export Milestone
By 2024, YUANGEN industrial lubricants and engine oils had been exported to more than 30 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America, demonstrating the company's growing presence in the international lubricants market.

In 2025, YUANGEN further expanded its international footprint by taking full responsibility for high-standard market operations and technical services across multiple regions worldwide.
This milestone marks the official acceleration of YUANGEN’s autonomous brand presence in the global automotive lubricant market.
